  1. Visit the Releases Page: Go to the Releases page to find the latest version of the Moderation bot.

  2. Choose Your Version: Select the latest version that fits your operating system.

  3. Download the Bot: Click the download link for the bot file. Make sure to save it to a location where you can easily find it, like your desktop.

  4. Install Node.js: If you don’t already have Node.js installed, visit the Node.js official website and download the recommended version for your operating system.

  5. Set Up MongoDB: Download and install MongoDB from the MongoDB website. Once installed, ensure the MongoDB service is running.

  6. Extract the Bot Files: If the downloaded file is zipped, right-click it and choose “Extract All” to access the bot files.

  7. Open Terminal or Command Prompt:
    • Windows: Press Win + R, type cmd, and press Enter.
    • macOS: Press Cmd + Space, type Terminal, and press Enter.
    • Linux: Open your preferred terminal application.
  8. Navigate to the Bot Directory: Use the cd command to change your directory to where you extracted the bot files. For example:
    cd path/to/Moderation
    
  9. Install Dependencies: Run the following command to install all necessary packages:
    npm install
    
  10. Configure the Bot: Open the configuration file in the bot’s directory with any text editor. Set your Discord bot token and adjust any other settings as needed.

  11. Run the Bot: Start the bot by entering the following command:
    npm start
    

Your bot should now be running! Check your Discord server to see it in action.

📖 Using the Bot

Once the bot is running, you can invite it to your server:

  1. Create an Invitation: Go to the Discord Developer Portal, select your application, and navigate to the OAuth2 section.
  2. Set Permissions: Choose the necessary permissions your bot will need. Common permissions include managing messages and roles.
  3. Invite the Bot: Copy the generated URL and paste it into your browser. Select your server and authorize the bot.
